Boxing Highlights

Pacquiao vs Hatton (full fight)

by grestrep on May.02, 2009, under Manny Pacquiao, Recent Fights, Ricky Hatton

I’m not going to recap the fight right now since one of boxing highlight’s fans requested me not to disclose the winner of the fight as I have been doing for all other fights in the past, so I’m just going to post the majority of the fight and let you guys see who won the fight.

But its inevitable not to disclose the length or way of win (sorry lawrence) - the fight just lasted 2 rounds:

i heard hatton was pissed at floyd sr.

man fuck hatton he didnt do anything floyd sr. taught him. he went wild

like roger said “get your boxing skills put some gasoline on them and throw them in the trash.”

  2. LatinoPorVida

I told everybody Pacquiao versus Hatton would be a MIS-MATCH, that Pacman would KO Hatton and look what happened boy I’m so proud of my prediction.

It’s like I said all along Floyd Mayweather Jr already had ended Hatton’s career and Juan Lazcano should had won against Hatton. Hatton beating Malignaggi proved nada.

I’m sorry to say to all Pacquiao fans but Pacman is taking the EASY fights compared to Juan Manuel Marquez who keeps taking the tougher fights.

It’s a shame to Mayweather Jr versus J.M.Marquez taking place I’d rather watch J.M.Marquez versus Pacquiao in another war. As much as I’m a J.M.Marquez fan I believe Mayweather Jr will beat “Dinamita” simply with his speed and power especiallly if these two were to meet at 147Lbs

  3. grestrep

I wanna see MAYWEATHER vs PACQUIAO. This will happen in October or November. Mark my words :)

  4. LatinoPorVida

Let’s hope so because Mayweather Jr will out-class Pacquiao for real.

Floyd will outbox Pacquiao maybe even stop Pacman again because let’s remember Pacquiao fans Manny has already been beaten before therefore Pacman ain’t invincible just in case some Pacquiao fans don’t know it LOL

  5. theman

latino por vida i completely agree.

if by any chance marquez beats mayweather whatsoever that will be a bigger victory than pacs destruction of hatton.

  6. grestrep

As much as I want Marquez to win, I don’t think it will happen. Its either a split decision or unanimous decision for Mayweather assuming he comes back in the same (or better) form than when he retired. Anybody knows at what weight are they gonna meet? 140? 147?

  7. LatinoPorVida

I’m sorry man but J.M.Marquez ain’t gonna beat Floyd Mayweather Jr unless they meet at 140 then maybe “Dinamita” has a chance otherwise if this fight takes place at a catch weight of 147 it will be Floyd Mayweather’s fight.

It would be a great victory for J.M.Marquez but I highly doubt it. Don’t get me wrong though I’m with grestrep hoping for “Dinamita” to pull off the upset so maybe just maybe I at least can get the privilage of watching J.M.Marquez versus Manny Pacquiao in a trilogy war that’s if Pacman accepts

I am hyped yet I’m nervous at the same time for J.M.Marquez let’s just hope “Dinamita” can somehow beat Floyd Mayweather Jr

I’m so surprised at the same time that for once Floyd Mayweather Jr has accept a real challenge well now it all depends at what weight of course LOL

Just want to ask where can i get a nice clear qulity video like this? HBO copy? Is it already uploaded in torrent? please if it is already uploaded just inform me… loyke77@gmail.com..

    Thanks.

  9. ShoemakeR

Looks like Manny Pacquiao had a tougher time during the post fight interview than the actual fight itself.

  10. coriekja

LatinoPorVida:: youre a pathetic self proclaimed boxing expert lol.. i read your comments and it seems your really itching to have pacman defeated..im no pacman fan but come on lets give credit for defeating Oscar and Ricky… your sour graping makes you an school boy who cant get your own candy lol

  11. Ricky Hatton vs Manny Pacquiao

  12. grestrep

I think we should be fair. Here’s what I think:
Pacquiao deserves credit for what he has done, he wiped out the featherweight and super featherweight division, had some 2 memorable fights with Marquez that we remember every single day, and beat Hatton at his natural weight. Its not a talk about his boxing achievements or who he has beat or anything, but the fights that he has provided us for our boxing pleasure.

Its the same thing for Marquez, and thats why those two boxers are really respected and loved by their respective followers.

But, as much as I want to stay unbiased here, I really want to say something to all of those who compare Floyd with Marquez or Floyd with Manny:
Floyd Mayweather has beat nobody to this very day. He only fought two good fighters - De La Hoya and Hatton whom Manny beat even worse, and Castillo who was in his prime at that time. Besides that, do the following guys really count:
Ndou, Mitchell, Corrales, Baldomir and a past his prime Gatti? I really don’t think so, but I don’t want to be flamed by my comment. Its just unfair to compare apples and oranges.

  13. pro-boxer

i’m not a pacman fan but i respect him more now. floyd can never win against the pacman….only by luck he can. i’ve seen his play-safe fight with oscar and his lucky shot with hatton. floyd just runs in the ring…playing safe a lot…so boring boxer. no way! for sure he’ll be put to full and permanent retirement by the new and best p4p boxer.

  14. LatinoPorVida

    coriekja,

How could I give credit to Pacquiao for beating both DLH and Hatton who we all know except for you that both fighters were past there prime and on there out of boxing

Also I’m not hoping for Pacquiao to lose he’s already lost 3 times actually 5 including his two wars against Juan Manuel Marquez LOL

  15. ShoemakeR

Hatton past his prime? and lost to Juan Manuel Marquez? I don’t see that anywhere in Pacquiao’s records. You were watching the wrong fight dude. Make sure you click on the right links.

  16. grestrep

Anybody noticed how Hatton can no longer take a punch? He seemed pretty easy to KO. I think that’s called wear and tear from 50 pro fights my friends

  17. LatinoPorVida

Ha,ha,ha exactly what I was trying to say too much wear and tear in Hatton. Again Mayweather Jr ended Hatton’s career and Juan Lazcano proved it in a fight he should had won therefore I knew it would be too easy of a fight for Pacquiao.

As far as Juan Manuel Marquez wars against Pacquiao goes I’m sticking to my opinion because dispite the knockdowns if you take a close look at what “Dinamita” was doing throughout both fights is what you call counter punching. Yes they were both close fights but I had Juan Manuel Marquez winning no matter what the record books state.

Also Hatton should had lost to Luis Collazo and so what if he beat a past his prime Jose Luis Castillo remember Castillo had been in many wars prior to his fight against Hatton especially those two wars he went through against the late and great R.I.P Diego “chico” Corrales. Hatton has never been a complete boxer just a brawler which is why I have never been a Hatton fan.

  18. Dan

Wear and tear? Past his prime? It’s kind of comical on how there’s always an excuse for a fighter to lose to another. When hatton fought floyd, it was said that hatton was too small. The when hatton fights pac, he’s a shot fighter, past his prime. Why do these excuses always come? De la hoya was past his prime, Barrera was past his prime, Morales was past his prime, everyone was when they their prime when they fought pac. Blah, blah, blah.

I think we should just enjoy the fact that the sport has a fighter who is exciting to watch. Though I never mind the boxing skills of mayweather (he’s one of my favorite boxers to watch when it comes to technique and skills), sometimes boxing can be boring if there were no fighters like pac. It’ll be a while before we see a fighter like this again (Mike Tyson was the last one), I think we should just enjoy the moment and hope that more big fights happen…

  19. grestrep

Dan you are right, but u know I’m not taking credit away from Manny, I became a fan of him on Saturday trust me, but I’m just pointing out a fact - since the Collazo fight Hatton gets wobbled and he used to be a concrete wall. The same example is Gatti man, on his fight against Gomez he was rocked easily yet on his prime he could have eaten Gomez’s punches for breakfast and laugh in the process.

And yea, I do find Manny exciting. I hope he still has many more years to fight and continue rocking dudes left and right

  20. LatinoPorVida

I’m not making excuses I’m just keep’in it real don’t get me wrong Pacquiao is an exciting fighter but Juan Manuel Marquez deserves another fight for real

  21. skanda

lets be honest, hatton is a strong, in ur face, im gonna off u of ur game boxer, pacquiao is a lets see what u got, im gonna show u speed n power boxer, its why pacman n maywether will make a great fight coz its mayW. technical, counter defensive and unseen strength vs raw power, speed, intelligence and difficult south paw.

hatton n pac we all deep down knew the outcome, wether 2nd round, 8th, or 12th, any man caught with a punch like that…….all over, either way it wouldn’t of happend if hatton decided to box but he went in for a war, got it n lost, like roach said, he can adapt.

  22. skanda

    like roach said, he CAN’T

  23. Langskie

    cool…boxing fanatics are all here…godbless!

    Thanks.

Re: view my videos on youtube search for –> BRUCELILANGSKIE <—- you can see the full length clear fight of Pacman vs Hatton…put some comments my friend…ciao

  26. coriekja

    LatinoPorVida,

Now you really sound really really biased..

Are you a member of Team Mayweather or just a poor loser??

  27. Langskie

everytime a fighter lose to another boxer eventhough we all know how good is he…there’s always an excuse…blah blah blah and more…

for David Diaz i think we should give him a credit for accepting the fight against Manny Pacman as a loser…he got the heart of a fighter

  28. grestrep

Pacquiao won’t fight Mayweather this year I think. You know why? I don’t think Mayweather will make plans to fight Pacquiao before his July fight against Marquez, they have to wait first until the Marquez fight happens. By July (2 months away), Pacquiao will already have an opponent set for October 2009, which will be either a mandatory bum or some big fight. No Mayweather this year. What do you guys think?

  29. ShoemakeR

The original video was a lot better…what happened to it?

grestrep, i agree with a NO Mayweather Pacquiao fight.

  30. grestrep

Yea I know, the original video was amazing, but it didn’t last very long, got banned. I’m showing my other options, but I’ll try to get a better quality one - seems tough right now since all video sites are banning videos of that fight.

  31. Langskie

i posted the pay-per-view video on youtube but after 1 day the HBO claimed it and it was blocked and deleted…
i have a clear copy of the Pacquiao/Hatton Fight…no way Mayweather vs Pacquiao…Mayweather is so boring inside the ring…better Cotto or Mosley for Pac’z next opponent…what do you think guyz?

  32. mr ju

Hatton past his prime? Wear and tear? O come on they are all lame excuses. He is only 30y/o same as pacquiao. Pacman has more fights than hatton and with more quality opponents..

  33. coriekja

Langskie: are you referring to me or grestrep? im not the one who started the wear and tear theory. lol

  34. grestrep

Guys, guys. I didn’t bring the wear and tear theory to undermine Pacquiao’s win. I still hold strong to the belief that Pacquiao could have beaten Hatton at 20, 25 or 30 years old, with Mayweather, or any other trainer on his corner.

The same thing for his victory against De La Hoya. The current Manny could have beaten De La Hoya at any point of his career (my opinion).

  35. Mox

Marquez will be beaten again by Pacman at 140lbs.

  36. grestrep

Hmmmm I don’t think they will ever fight again. Pacquiao supposedly doesn’t want to fight him anymore, thats why Mayweather-Marquez is happening instead.

  37. bench39

when and where did it happenned that pacman loses to marquez? i think thats an irresponsible statement and should not be shown here.. on my opinion, marquez had a lot of guns to KO floyd..Floyd never engage a good fighter in toe to toe fights, He runs because he is a chicken.. he is only good in talking like his father.. if marquez won against floyd, he will no change to stand against pacman today because of pacmans increase in weights which means power!

  38. LatinoPorVida

    Bench39,

What you mean these statements should not be shown here? Who are you to say what should be shown and what should not be shown on this great site?

Look bench39 everybody is entitled to their own opinions therefore I am one of the many who had and continue to believe Juan Manuel Marquez won both close wars against Manny Pacquiao it’s just that the ringside judges did not get their score cards right LOL

Why else wouldn’t Pacman want to fight “Dinamita” again?

BTW Mayweather Jr does not run, he just knows how to box, it’s called the sweet science something you need to understand in boxing it’s not alwayz stand and take punches, boxing is about hitting your opponent and not getting hit back ya dig?

Of course most boxing fans love wars but you can’t deny Floyd Mayweather Jr is a master at boxing accept it

  39. ALEXANDER D GREAT

hey, lavratinova, por pabor compadre…thats what makes mayweather a boring boxer…mastering defense in boxing is not boxing at all..your opinion is as good as a gaybar dancer thats for a fact. If boxing is about hitting your opponent, how come you don’t credit pacman for knocking out JMM 3X the very first round the first time they met? your opinion could have been more respected have you conforme with the fact that the judges made a right decision for the fight to be a draw, and a loss the second time. If you really love JMM, you should be looking after his credibility. His best fitted on the lower weight class. If mayweather would like to come back good, he should be fighting mosley. Pick up his own weight rather than go down with marquez? Before DLH vs Pacman fight, everybody was saying and I bet you too, pacquiao was the underdog and wont win against DLH, and look what the hell happened, it ended his career right there! Whatever the outcome between mayweather and JMM wont be much of appeal to pacquiao, unless freddie wants to shut-up Mayweather Sr.

  40. grestrep

I think the question that Brian Kenny asked was perfectly reasonable -> If Mayweather thinks he is still the #1 p4p fighter in the sport, he needs to prove himself after retirement. Does he expect to come back and fight a natural featherweight and expect to earn the #1 spot on the p4p rankings? Mayweather has been outside of featherweight longer than Marquez, so he is not the one taking any risks. In fact even in 2007 Marquez was still in super featherweight check boxrec.com

We all know (and he himself claimed) that Mayweather fights not for the fans, but for money. Another thing he wants to keep at all costs is his undefeated record. Because of this, he will try to take the least risk possible while at the same time maximizing his possible income per fight. Remember, that’s what he calls “smart business decisions”. He is clearly mistaken. 70% of people who watch his pvp fights do so with the clear hope of maybe watching him get knocked out. The remaining 30% are Mayweather fans.

  41. ALEXANDER D GREAT

hey latin boy, i wanna hear from you mate..why dont you bet on your darlin mayweather and i’ll bet on pacman for a modest 4 to 5 round knock-out. I think its time for your boy to retire for good…and I hope you do too.

  42. LatinoPorVida

Again I have no problem betting against you but that’s of course if Pacquiao accepts a fight against Floyd only time will tell because so far Pacman is afraid by not accepting another fight against Juan Manuel Marquez LOL

  43. PACMAN

LATINO PORVIDA!!! wow … What a lovely name… hahaha…. hey dude!!! KNOW YOUR ROLE AND SHUT YOUR FUCKING MOUTH… I created a copy of ur all biased comments… Hope the fight with floyd jr happens october 2 dis year…. LATINO PORVIDA!!! wow … What a lovely name… hahaha…. hey dude!!! MARK MY WORD… I WILL KNOCK THIS SHIT NIGGER OUT IN THE 1st ROUND… Im a humble person but you make me silly…. And im waiting for your comments after the fight…. LatinoPorVida: We all know the floyd jr past his prime… HAHAHA… LOL

  45. grestrep

I really hope the fight happens in October, but I heard Roach say he wants Pac to fight an interim contender next, so that Pac can fight more rounds before fighting another big fight. Due to this, I’m not sure if the fight will happen in October

  46. PACMAN

It will happen dude… trust me….. october 2 at mgm grand in vegas…. Im filipino… and that is the big big big news in philippines right now…. Hoping for this shit nigger to win the fight againts dinamita marquez…

  47. LatinoPorVida

    Pacman,

Don’t be too sure because number 1 yes Floyd Mayweather Jr will beat Juan Manuel Marquez but number 2 is will Manny Pacquiao accept a fight against Floyd Mayweather Jr that is the remaining question? LOL

Even if Pacquiao decides to go along in a fight against Mayweather Jr he will lose mark my wordz!

  48. PACMAN

LatinoConTraVida… hahaha… yah.. your right… manny will lose to floyd gayweather if they meet in the trackfield for marathon…hahhaha…. But if they face up in the sport of boxing i cant find any reason for pacquaio to lose the fight…. Mark my word dude… PACQUAIO WILL KNOCK OUT FLOYD RIGHT FROM THE VERY START AT ROUND 1 IF FLOYD FIGHT TOE TO TOE WITHOUT DOING HIS FAVORITE MOVE THE HIT AND RUN… hahahahahahahaha…. Im waiting for your comment after pacquaio knock him out…And be sure you have your own copy of pacquaio gayweather fight coz this is the the first time you see SLEEPING PRETTYBOY FLOYD… MARK MY WORD.. MARK YOUR PRECIOUS CALENDAR… AND ALSO KEEP THE COPY OF FIGHT AND SHARE IT TO YOUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY MEMBERS…

  49. LatinoPorVida

    Okay Pacman whatever you say!

Keep dreaming and wishing Pacquiao has a chance because in the end it will be Floyd Mayweather Jr getting his hand raised in sweet victory

I don’t even know why we are discussing this fight since it has not even beeb confirmed and probably won’t even take place due to Bob Arum not accepting and wanting his fighter to lose LOL

Now if this fight does in fact take place please send me full details to where you live so I can collect my money on our bet ha,ha,ha!!!

Make sure you start saving now!

How much to do you want to bet?

  50. ALEXANDER D GREAT

How much do you earn anyway? Lets start with a decent reality check of a a thousand dollars, how’s that for your confidence. let’s bring it on…I’l bet on Pacquiao, you bet on your darlin gayweather…

  51. grestrep

How about this, first bet whether the fight is gonna happen or not. Afterwards, put your money on the winner :)

  52. REM1110

hey porvida..you pacman haters never learned do you?LOL how many times jmm hit the canvass with manny?4 times?hahahaha..now ur telling me that he shud have won with manny?all mexicans great are lose to manny and still counting..whos next?..jmm is a crying baby just like you..losers…LOL

  53. Ivan "LatinoPorVida" Montiel

    REM,

Do you even know how to score a boxing fight?

It don’t matter how many times J.M.Marquez went down the point is the man got back up on his feet and counter punched Pacquiao till the end in both fights therefore if you know the rules of boxing and how to even score a fight you would have J.M.Marquez the winner not Manny Pacquiao.

Even boxing experts like Max Kellerman had J.M.Marquez winning both fights for your information including Brian Kenny who I also heard say on Friday Night Fights a couple of weeks ago that he also had J.M.Marquez winning.

Think before you speak and learn the rules of boxing before you open your mouth LOL

  54. ALEXANDER D GREAT

hey latin boy,por pavor compadre…you know what i hope your brain is tellin you why jmm is never comfortable in goin out with other boxing tittle and go out in different weight class divisions other than what he is currently holding right now maybe because of fear of 3 knockdown rule LOL…manny came out to meet him and came out a winner, and you just cant accept that, eventhough the rule doesn’t work on his favor. The fight between jmm and mayweather is a pure technical boxing, and i believe that, and guess what, NOBODY IS INTERESTED IN WATCHING!!!LOL.

  55. Floyd Mayweather Jr vs Ricky Hatton

  56. dmiltz

let’s all sing along….rick, ricky hatton, rick, ricky hatton,…yep hatton went down the tube fast..maybe too many of those pub beers..oh well!!
we’ll see ricky again for sure..against a tanker..

  57. grestrep

THERE IS ONLY ONE RICKY FLATTENED!

Not just too many beers - also too many Full English Breakfasts in the mornings.

  58. kiks

hey latino pretending nigger! You talk too much. you cant really accept the fact that no matter how many mexicans you want for pacman, pac will always beat all your guys encluding how to speadk english, pacman did not finish highschool but he is trying to speak english in interview so that he could express himself as much as he can(not to mention he came from the other part of the world) while you mexicans who are just separated by a wire cannot talk and understand english. how bout that?

  59. demon

may weather is really gay/..he fight smaller guys…hes like a high school student beating up 3 o 4th graders…imagine pacman a 4 grader beating up BIG high school guys..mayweather sucks..if ur man enough u should test yourself and test your limitations..thats what pound 4 pound means..not picking fights with guys weaker than you..you should fight d best guys outhere specifically within your division..and fight those who are stronger or much bigger..

  60. Mayweather vs Pacquiao

One of the best fight of Pacquiao is the Hatton-Pacquiao fight. He showed to the world that he is a great boxer.

  61. Pacquiao vs Clottey

One of Pacquiao’s greatest KO in his boxing career. Now people know what a Manny Pacquiao can do inside the ring.

  62. blogcosep

Easy fight for Pacquiao, Easy win..

  63. Frankie in Houston

Fight video isn’t working, just fy.

  64. Pacquiao vs Clottey

I really love to watch this video again and again..

  65. Ivan "LatinoPorVida" Montiel

Kiks your dummer than I thought by saying Mexicans cannot talk nor understand English why I just found plenty of errors in your so called sentence LOL

Also by you calling me a nigger shows how ignorit you really are bet you wouldn’t say it in front of my face. You only say these things while hiding behind a computer.

Try to relax and breath more often it will make you feel better it’s better than getting all worked up over a fighter who you don’t even know in person. How old are you? I sure hope you ain’t a grown ass man because you sure sound like a young immature kid grow up man or should I say woman LOL

  66. Mayweather vs Mosley

I really like it when challengers of Manny trashtalk and end up getting knocked out

  67. Mark Maranga: In the Philippines

This was the best Manny Pacquiao I have ever seen. I don’t understand why he didn’t punch Joshua Clottey very hard. He could have knocked him out too.

  68. Ilene Rigney

Justin Bieber would be my top! He’s so pretty!

  69. Pacquiao vs Margarito

This is such a terrible loss by Ricky Hatton. In the upcoming November 13, 2010 fight between Manny Pacquiao and Antonio Margarito, it will be similar to this. It’s just so sad that Floyd Mayweather chickened out.
