fair play, didnt think pacquiao could take the punishment cotto deals. i think pac must have promised his soul to the devil in return for his skills.

Thanks for posting. I thought Cotto might pull off an upset but Pacman does the business in style again. Come on Floyd/Arum, whoever - lets get it on!

PAQUIAO IS THE WORLDS BEST BOXER!
November 15th, 2009 at 12:23 pm
paquiao is the best! and cotto i love the way he never gave up! i have so much respect for that guy…but i just want to say mayweather vs paquiao fight would not be a good fight! yeah mayweather is undefeated but ..we all know how he would fight ..mayweather would be running around the ring for 12 rounds.. he wont be dumb and trade with paquiao. so i think the best next fight should be against shane mosley…
November 15th, 2009 at 12:43 pm
frank,
I agree with you 100% about mayweather.
he would run around and use jobs then run around again to win the fight.
in my opinion, pacquiao would beat him and mosley.
but i guess we will have to wait and see.

The only thing I didn’t like about Pacquiao was the fact that he actually got hit a lot, and easily. Many times he left his guard down and Cotto took advantage of it, even though those punches didn’t really hurt Manny.
I don’t think he would have the luxury to let his guard down like that against Mayweather, since he will pay for it.
Other than that it was an excellent fight for both fighters, Pacquiao prevailed but respect to Cotto for never quitting and packing some good punches too.
I would rather see Pacquiao vs Mosley next instead of Mayweather.

That was a poor display of compassion on the part of Miguel Cotto’s corner. After the eleventh round, it was clear to see that he did not want to fight. But, he also did not want to quit himself for a second time. When he did not sit down right away after the round, and instead asked his trainer, Joe Santiago if there was still one more round left, it was obvious he was done, in mind and body. If that was not enough, the look in his eyes, as he non-verbally pleaded with his corner, almost to say “Do you see my face right now? Are you really going to let me go back out there looking like this?” should have been enough reason for Santiago to make the decision to stop the fight. After that selfish display on his part, I would not be surprised if Santiago was absent from Cotto’s corner from here on. That’s if he continues to fight. Hats off to Manny!

I will give Manny his credit. I was hoping for Cotto to win but what can i say? this is boxing! I just think that if Cotto actually boxed more instead of trying to go for a one punch knockout, he would’ve done better. He waited to try boxing after he got hurt and his legs weren’t all there. Hats off to Manny though for doing what he did. I think Mosley and Manny would be a good fight. Shane likes to throw and so does Manny. However if it were a Floyd vs Manny i think Floyd may win just because of his guard and the way he blocks and runs. If the Manny and Floyd fight ever happened though, i am going for Manny 100% because i think Floyd needs to see that just because you’re undefeated doesn’t mean you’re the greatest.
Great fight Manny and Cotto!

This is a legendary fight as this gave Pacquiao the 7th world title. A breakthrough of Pacquiao’s career as a boxer.

This is the first time I watched a Pacquiao fight through PPV and i must say it’s worth it. Indeed a breakthrough of Pacquiao’s career as he has achieved the 7th world title in 7 division..impressive…

I hate Cotto in this fight, he keeps on running, I don’t know what problem, maybe he’s just scared to taste the punch of Pacquiao.

Oh gosh pacquiao vs clottey is the big big fight and I think this is the last fight of Pacquiao. After the fight he’ll focus in a political views.

Hopefully the Mayweather-Pacquiao fight will happen in November 23, 2010… I really don’t want to see another Pacquiao-Cotto in 154lbs… Cotto is no match for Manny. Cotto was just lucky Foreman slipped and injured his knee.
