Pavlik defends his WBC and WBO middleweight titles… finally! I would have expected Kelly to be more active in terms of title defenses this year, but we have to give him a break due to his hand infections and all that.

pavlik looked very smooth, havnt seen much of his oppenent before, any of you know how decent this other guy is?

Hmmm not sure, never heard of Espino before until this fight, but his record suggests he was just a mandatory bum. 29 years old, 20 wins and 9 KOs. This guy was in The Contender right?

He was the WBC#3 contender for the middleweight title. He is not very well known and wasn’t expected to beat Pavlik although he was won 11 straight. His 11 straight victories made him a contender for the belt after Pavlik-Williams fight fell through. He didn’t have much of a chance obviously.

And Pavlik better have looked ’smooth’ because Espino is not in the same league as Pavlik. Pavlik really needs to focus on his image now because people are thinking he really is a ‘ghost’ when it comes to defending his belts. Williams or Strum should be next up and made ASAP. Espino was a bum and Rubio is over the hill. And the cancellation of the Williams bout just made it even worse although Pavlik has a legitmate reason. I would personally like to see Williams-Pavlik because it would be a fucking slug fest. Williams likes to throw a lot each round and Pavlik has power/chin. Would make for an interesting bout.

Oh and Espino was on The Contender. Espino lost to Peter Manfredo Jr.

How much did team Pavlik pay Smooger to keep bugging Espino the entire time, I tell you if it wasn’t for Smooger getting in between Espino probably would have dropped Pavlik.

Pavlik looked like shit I believe Hopkins has ended the over-rated Pavlik.

Williams and Strum will beat Pavlik easy. Arthur Abraham who has been hunting for Pavlik will kill Pavlik which is why Bob Arum is keeping Pavlik far away from KING Arthur Abraham
