Thanks a lot, and yes - actually what you suggest is a great idea. I got the same suggestion by a good friend of mine a couple of months ago. I went to Barranquilla, Colombia on January and met a good friend of mine who told me that Ricardo “Mochuelo” Torres was at that time in the same city and that I should go and conduct an interview with him about his third fight against Holt. But, at that time Boxing Highlights was very young and we didn’t really know what we exactly wanted to accomplish. Now we do realize the value of having interviews and it will be something we will look forward to in the near future. I hope the sooner the better.

Una entrevista con Torres would had been real nice too bad and too bad Torres got ill correct me if I’m wrong that is the reason why the trilogy never occured between Ricard and Kendall right?
Maybe now that Holt lost to Bradley hopefully we boxing fans can see another war between them two.
BTW I would love to visit Colombia lucky you!

I can’t wait for Juan Manuel Lopez versus Gerry Penalosa now that’s a fight I’ve been wait’in for! I’m just gonna sit back and relax while J.M.Lopez kicks Penalosa’s azz! LOL

You actually request something that someone else requested for the Pacquiao - Hatton fight.
I’ve been thinking about not giving the result of fights on the main page, but rather force any visitor to click on a link in order to see a particular fight result.
For example, instead of having a post that reads “Agbeko upsets Darchinyan!”, followed by the entry, I will have something like “Agbeko vs Darchinyan result”, and inside the entry I will have a link that says “Click here to read the fight result”. Clicking on this link will take you to the fight result article. In this way, people won’t read the result by accident
Is this what you were suggesting? I’ll explain this more in detail tomorrow. I’m going to make a post about it.

thats correct grestrep. or only one post which is named “X vs. Y full fight” and inside the post at first the videos and at last the “spoiler” thing.
you can maybe link a new page or you can create the result in the same text color like the background.
so you can mark the “hidden” text and he will be inverted so that he is viewable

I personally would like to see the Nigel Benn vs Gerald Mcclellan fight on here. It in my honest opinion is a all time classic. I appreciate the sad outcome has put a lot of people of watching and talking about it but I think that does a terrible injustice to The G man. Newer fans of this beautiful art should see this and marvel at two warriors.

Karl, I heard about the fight but never watched it because I was afraid to see something disturbing. I also saw a video of somebody who visited McLellan after the aftermath of the fight and was very saddened. The saddest part was knowing that McLellan doesn’t even remember that he was a champion. People have to continually remind him that he was a great fighter.
I’ll post the fight though. Thanks for the suggestion.

Hey Guys, great site.
Just have a suggestion for KO’s of week. If you want to see a technically perfect feint hook and all the damage it can do, i reccomend that you check out Andy Lee’s KO of Karl Daniels.

The most impressive thing about it is that Lee is so confident about his punch that he doesn’t throw any more punches and is saluting the crowd before Daniels hits the ground.

I remember Andy Lee knocking out the old man in Carl Daniels but I also remember Andy Lee getting beat bad by Brian Vera last year.
A lot of fight fans were trying to hype Lee yet after getting stopped by Vera not much has been heard of this Ireland fighter.
Is Lee still with Emanuel Steward?

I think he is still with him. I wasn’t too convinced with the stoppage Vera over him, I don’t think he was in trouble and the ref stopped it very prematurely (considering the punishment Vera was allowed to take in the earlier rounds).

I think he is going to be against Mack Macklin or John Duddy, both of whom I think he will take care of easily. I’m surprised that a rematch wasn’t organized, instead Vera went on to get punished by Kirkland.
Now Kirkland vs Lee would be a good fight

Lee was hurt it was a proper stoppage if the fight would had continued Lee would had got beaten worse he just couldn’t get away from those right hands. I think Lee gased out and that’s what lead to him getting tagged constantly prior to the stoppage.
It would have been good to have a rematch between Lee vs Vera too bad it will never happen.
Lee vs Duddy would be great not only for the Irish fans but for the great sport of boxing and it’s hardcore boxing fanantics.

Boxing highlights has been doing a great job lately of putting on all the good and recent boxing WITH THE SOLE EXCEPTION of the second Malignaggi Diaz affair which is supposed to be another great fight! Please upload this if you can and the Bradley Peterson fight was supposed to be a tear up also! By the way that documentary assault in the ring is an amazing video and more of anything factual and documentary like that would be amazing! Dont want you to feel like im moaning because you do a great job, but everything can be improved.

grestrep the peterson bradley fight doesnt work man lol fuck sake i really want to see it!! When its clicked on to play it says ‘experiencing technical difficulties’. Please try sort this out although i know its a busy time of year! Seasons greetings to you anyway grestrep

Stefano try again, the video worked fine for me. Maybe when you were trying to access it Dailymotion was having issues or something like that. If it doesn’t work, then I’ll find another source for the video.
By the way, after playing a video wait for the video to load without clicking on it, sometimes I noticed that if you keep clicking on the video while it tries to load, it will throw an error on Dailymotion.

Hey grestrep, I love ur site u do a very good job keeping up with the latest fights so that people who miss them live can enjoy later. Despite this I hate to be a critic but the fight u posted between diaconu and pascal is not the rematch fight that just happened a little while back but it is actually the original bout between the two as Pascal won their first meeting so Diaconu’s record could not be an undefeated one for the rematch. Thanks for posting the original fight as I reside in Canada and I remember watching it on tv live and it was definitely fight of the year. So, if you could fine the rematch anywhere else it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks and ur site is great.

Stefano, I’ve had people in the past who had issues watching videos from youtube, not dailymotion, but I’m confident it has to do with their internet browser and the flash version they have installed on their computer. I’m going to ask you a couple of questions in order to troubleshoot the issue. Which internet browser are you using and which version?

I use a few browsers, mainly internet explorer 8.0, but i sometimes use firefox. Your probably right it probably is to do with my settings. Do you think using firefox would change my luck?? I have a very good laptop, its just the anti-virus package i use can sometimes limit what i can look at so this could be why i but i dont think so because previously i could watch videos on dailymotion! I appreciate you taking the time to write back grestrep.

Just wanted to pay my respects and let everybody know that the great British Boxing commentator Harry Carpenter has died at the age of 84. He rise to fame came about during the Frank Bruno era and was known as the voice of boxing in the UK. He will be sorely missed. RIP Harry.

Mauricio, I agree. I’m currently planning to revamp the whole site and also I agree that I haven’t been posting the fight videos early enough. I’m working on it though, and I’m also thinking about a feature where people can upload and post their own videos, but that will take me a while though.
